We were able to spend the 4th of July week with these little munchkins, and even though they kept us busy, they kept us laughing too. We did a lot of tractor rides, four wheeler rides, watching movies, and bribing with ice cream. Our 4th of July was spent eating KFC and homemade rootbeer and swimming over at "the big pool" as Anden called it. No fireworks for us this year... we couldn't even see the ones across the lake at the Stadium of Fire very well. Nonetheless, it was a good summer holiday.
I said good-bye to my cousin Liz for 18 months. Before she left for her mission, we were able to spend one last night out as cousins. The evening was rather spontaneous--starting with sushi, and then randomly ending up at the D.I. where we bought ugly tops and then went bowling in them at Fat Cats. It's funny how those random events can turn out to be the most memorable.
| I had to make this pic really big to capture the essence of our outfits. Ambs ended up being the best, because she unintentionally ended up looking like Snookie. |
The Britt-Monster turned 1 in May. There's some people in this world who are against spending the money on birthday parties for little toddlers, because they say the 1-year-old won't remember it. This is true... but who cares, it's fun for us. I say, let them eat cake.
Other activities have included trips to Seven Peaks, a trip to St. George, movie outings, reading good books, and watching a lot of Downton Abbey. Now it's vacation time!
